Solution

Before Commonwealth, investing in athletes was inaccessible – limited to insiders with capital and expertise. Fans wanted to feel closer to the athletes they admired, but existing systems made it complicated and out of reach.

The platform solved this by turning a complex financial process into a simple, fan-friendly experience. From onboarding to transactions and ongoing updates, it gave everyday investors a clear way to participate with as little as $50 – making athlete ownership both accessible and engaging.

My Role

I designed the product end-to-end – from early wireframes to final designs for both mobile and web. I worked closely with the product team and clients to define the structure, flows, and final design, ensuring the platform balanced trust, usability, and excitement.

As the platform scaled, I led two additional designers, guiding their work on new features and helping them grow their skills while maintaining a consistent product experience.

Impact

Within the first year, over 15,000 investors joined, offerings sold out in 24 hours, and the portfolio expanded from one sport to many.

The design turned a complex financial product into an experience fans could actually understand and trust. Clear structures, simple flows, and consistent patterns lowered the entry barrier – making participation accessible to a broad audience.
